Having left corporate America for independence as a small business owner/writer, I have written several books that provide entrepreneurial guidance and marketing assistance for small business owners. They include The Unofficial Guide to Starting a Small Business, which was named one of the “Best Business Books of the Year” by Library Journal the year it debuted, How to Think Like the World’s Greatest Marketing Minds, and my first book, Successful Fine Art Marketing. Others profile successful stories, such as Emeril!, which is an in-depth look at Chef Emeril Lagasse’s cooking empire, to illustrate strategies and tactics that can be applied to any business.
In addition to saving money, I’m also a big fan of finding new ways to earn more of it, and some of my books reflect that, such as the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Selling Your Own Home and the forthcoming Complete Idiot’s Guide to Staging Your Home to Sell (for more). Other books are parenting guides, such as the Complete Idiot’s Guide to 30,000 Baby Names.
